The museum contains a variety of indoor and outdoor exhibits dedicated to the history of Lake Cowichan and the forestry industry that has been a significant part of the region's development. In addition, the museum archives contains records and other items pertaining to the history of the IWA Union and its local chapters. This museum is free to enter, although donations are greatly appreciated.
Hosting a variety of events and workshops throughout the year , Cowichan Lake Arts and Society is committed to supporting all forms of art (think of pottery, historical arts, architecture, culinary….as well as the more talked about arts of painting, printmaking, sculpture) and work to encourage an appreciation for the arts as well as giving people an opportunity to try new artistic expressions.
